Do A Paid Review On Your Blog

Judging from the amount of traffic I received on my post, Do You Get Paid To Blog, it's clear that many bloggers - even those who're newbies to the web scene - are interested in earning some extra money blogging.

On A Blogger's Books I carry an entire section called, Writing opportunities where writers and bloggers alike can find all types of paid writing jobs to suit their niche. Today I want to tell you about a blogging-specific earning opportunity which you can all be a part of.

CSN Stores are currently carrying out a major Internet campaign and need your help. In my opinion - and experience (and according to my friend) they're great to work with, and deliver what they say they will - on time! If you're able to do a well-written, entertaining or informative blog post, then you stand a chance of being selected to write a review for this company.

You can also choose to do a give away - attracting traffic to your site. Give aways are also fun ways of rewarding your loyal readers. Otherwise, you can stick to a promotion or advertisement (text link) on your blog page. For either of these you will be paid. You can choose to receive very generous coupons to spend online (or to give away) as you please, or you can opt for a payment. Payments are made through PayPal. If you don't have a PayPal account, it's easy and safe to sign up. I found it necessary as a blogger to have a Paypal account, otherwise I'd have to accept cheques in different currencies which may get lost in the post and/or take ages to be deposited into my account. I've had mine (PayPal account) for many years now and have no complaints.

You can find objective and non-biased information on the Internet either about Paypal or CSN Stores on GOOGLE or MERCHENGINES.COM'S adwords management.

If you are interested in this paid opportunity or you've always wanted to host a give away on your blog for your readers, contact Kate at  CSNPromoTeam@csnstores.com. You can mention that you heard this here at A Blogger's Books;-)

This link to CSN Stores is to the UK site. Find the dot com version by typing this into your browser if you wish to take a look first.

Proxy 3

My eyes were open to how small the Internet makes our world, when my e-mail systems refused to work recently. After trying every trick I know (including asking my husband for help) I had to give in and call the helpline. It turned out that the person who answered my wild plea for help lived in India and spoke little English with a very rich accent.

Before long, after taking some of my particulars, he was controlling the mouse on my laptop. Incredible, isn’t it? This man sitting in a country on the other side of the world was able to log into my computer, in my living room and take control of my mouse. One of the things he said to me was, ‘See your mouse moving around there on your screen? That’s me controlling it.’

Within minutes my problem was fixed and I was ‘up and running’ again. Some of my friends were appalled when I told them about this occurrence. They didn’t like the idea of someone else being able to move your mouse without even being in the same room as you. I, on the other hand was just relieved to get the problem solved. Besides, these systems use fine-grained encrypted permissions so only highly and specially trained technicians can access and use them. The system ensures that all transactions are positively secure and safe.

Remote desktop is a desktop software site that stocks remote management for Windows 7, Mac and Linux. The focus is on troubleshooting as in my case, but they also address SMBs and workgroups in need of workable and professional PC Remote Access support tools. If you’re part of an enterprise which has separate domains and virtual environments, this software is definitely something you’ll need. You can be assured that, from a business point of view, its use of 256-bit encryption – the highest in its class, is a measure of how much work, pride and security have been put into it.

This software is also useful for cost-effective training and for offering support to users who’re working from home or constantly travelling. As constant collaboration is essential for our fast-paced modern societies. I know that without the efforts and collaboration of my friends on the Internet, I would certainly be lost. How about you? And have you had a similar experience?

Do You Get Paid To Blog

Many bloggers are now realising that you can combine pleasure with a little business on the side. Blogging, for many is still only a hobby - done whenever they have a spare hour or so. For the rest of us, blogging has become a large part of earning some extra cash.

This is a short blog post to demonstrate how simple it is to earn money blogging, by using targeted words, terms and phrases.

Conditions
Obviously, your blog has to meet certain criteria. Many paid-to-blog sites demand some or all of the following: You have to have regular, good-quality posts. They have to be in English and not only exist for paid blogging. This means that at least half your posts have to be articles (pictures) etc, for which you haven't been paid.

Ranking
Of course, the higher your Google and Alexa ranking, the better opportunities will come your way. This is why it behoves us bloggers to do all we can to make our sites the best we can. Quality posts, backlinks, and appropriate sharing on social networking sites, all contribute towards higher ranking.

What to expect
You first of all have to submit your blogs to see if they qualify. Blogvertise, Blog To Profit, Tomoson Reviews, Share A Sale, etc, are only a handful of sites which pay you for links, reviews or articles placed on your blogs. Some are smaller and pay less than others. The larger, higher paying sites expect you to have a very high-ranking blog with several subscribers, so it's best to build up from the bottom. You will also have to have a disclosure page somewhere on your blog, stating that some of your posts, though your words and views, are sponsored ones.
Some sites pay for blogging around a particular post while some pay for linking words or phrases in your own post of your choice. There are local opportunities and International ones. For example there are links relating to the South West of England (where I live). If I looked hard enough I could find link opportunities for something as specific as  South Devon Cottages. Alternatively I could choose to blog about something more general like romance books or kindles.

If you haven't got a blog but are thinking about it, you will find all the help you need to start a new one by clicking on my 'Blogger tutorials for newbies' at the top of this page. Scroll down to the end of the first post for a list of more articles.  Let me know if you need any help.

Please share this post if you find it useful. Thank you.

Online Freebies

A Blogger's Books has just come across a site that genuinely gives away free stuff. We have a reputation to keep here, so we're obliged to pass on any news of affordable, great deals, or indeed, freebies

This is a short post just to inform you of great deals that can be had by you, the reader. This site offers not only free books, Internet-related, blogging-related, or writing-related items, but an abundance of all kinds of  free samples. There are opportunities to get free samples by mail/online. Or you could just browse to find outnwhat's on offer for your individual requirements in the areas of music, software, movies, games, computers etc - all for free!
It's the best free site on the web. Offers range from free cell phones or a free scholarship; to a free wedding or kitchen.

I've always heard talk about free stuff on the Internet and have never quite believed that these sites existed. I never bothered to search them out because I thought it would be a waste of time. Now I know how wrong I was. I certainly hadn't imagined the range of products that would be on offer.

Why not visit this site and see what's there for the taking. You may find a free sample of just the thing you need at this particular moment. Good luck.

You could even set up your own account to give something away for free.

Amazon's Best Love-Books For Valentine's Day

Kindle is not one of the best selling products on Amazon. It’s the best selling product on Amazon. My husband finally got one as a Christmas present. So far, he’s totally thrilled with it. I have to admit I’m a bit jealous. It’s so easy to download books from anywhere you happen to be sitting (as long as there is WIFI nearby).

He takes the train to work and back. He has a 2-hour trip each way, so being able to download pdf documents on his Kindle to read on his journey is excellent. I never believed the hype surrounding the kindle. I doubted especially the readability feature which has no back-light on the screen whatsoever. Basically, it should look exactly like a book does – easy on the eyes with no glaring light. This, I found out, is precisely true. The plus is that you can even read it on the beach in bright sunlight. Because you only use one hand to 'turn' the pages, you can drink your tea or hold your loved one's hand while reading.

My husband has downloaded a few books, so I’ve been looking at Amazon’s romance list and noticed the following books as top sellers in this group. With Valentine’s Day coming up in a few weeks, these will be perfect gifts to give to your loved one. (You can even add the kindle in for good measure). Forget expensive holidays. All you need is your favourite catalogue of online wine merchants, a blanket, and an enjoyable book on your Kindle. (Did I mention you can send an email and go on the Internet from your kindle?)

Here are some suggestions of the top selling, highly-rated romance books available on Kindle. These books are also available in hard copy and other formats.

1. Romeo, Romeo by Robin Kaye
2. Love of A Lifetime by Maren Suber
3. Marry Me by Jo Goodman
4. Three Nights Of Sin by Anne Mallory
5. The Ghost Hunter by Lori Brighton
6. Newlyweds of Convenience  by Jessica Hart
7. What A Gentleman Wants by Caroline Linden
8. All Of You by Kelsey Maxwell

How To Create An Adsense Channel For Your Blog

Today, as a continuing part of my Blogger Tutorials for newbies, I want to look at Adsense channels and why they're vital to bloggers across the board.

You've just started your new blog. You chose the best possible name for your site. Then diligently did your research on domain name availability to get the most suitable available title. You added all the highly recommended gadgets, then set out to write knock-out posts. You signed up for Google adsense and waited to start earning, but unfortunately only pennies dribbled in. How do you know which ad units are earning you cash and which ones are only taking up valuable advertising space on your site? This is where channels come in.

We all know by now that some Google adsense ads perform better than others. Picture ones earn you more money, for example. In addition, the position of your ad either catches the attention of your readers, or goes unnoticed. Adsense allows you to personalise the appearance of each ad. You can choose your own size, look, font and the colour of literally every part of your ad box.

Creating channels helps you to have even more control over your ads. With channels you're able to track which ads on your sites perform best of all and which ones attract no clicks whatsoever. Armed with this crucial information, you're able to maximise your Google Adsense earnings by recreating the best performing ad boxes on your other sites, and/or by deleting the hangers on. You should create a channel for each of the ad units on your sites. Here's how:
  • Sign in to your Google account. You would’ve had to create one if you have a Blogger blog.

  • Choose ‘Adsense’

  • You will be taken to a page (like the one below) where you can view your google adsense account.

  • At the top of the page the table says Reports, Adsense Setup, My Account and Resources.

  • Choose Adsense Setup (white heading).

  • Then Channels (in the blue row) under Adsense Setup.

  • Add a new custom  channel. (You can create url channels later on).

  • Name your channel precisely. You may want to say something like ‘top banner’ 'large side ad' etc, with the name the blog. This is not only for you to track the most profitable ads and the best positions for them. Advertisers will also be shown these names you create.

  • Tick the ‘targeting’ box. (This means that your blog will be shown to advertisers as a domain which is interested in promoting their ads.

  • Ads appear on - tick homepage.

  • Add channel and save.

  • You're done!

If you find this article useful, please share it on your favourite networking sites. Thank you. If you have any more Google Adsense questions please click on the link. It will take you to a page where you can find more info about this topic. Scroll down towards the end of the first article on the page.

Earn Money Writing For Hard-Copy Publications (Update)

A Blogger's Books scourers the web to find well-paying writing jobs for you. You don't have to be an illustrious author to make money from your writing.

Can you write verses for greeting cards? Can you put together a recipe or a write up tips for glossy magazines? Are you a good with words? Can you write poetry or convey a real-life amusing situation?

Writing is not only about putting 100,000 words together. Modern needs have evolved to mean that people who are otherwise creative like Logo Designers, Web Designers, Website descriptive writers, or people who have particular expertise, can earn money writing.

Of course, your grammar and punctuation have to be perfect and you have to be able to write in the style that's best suited to online writing. When you've looked at the writing opportunities page (link below), peruse and bookmark this series of articles written specially for newbie online writers.

You can get paid well for doing any of the above, as well as writing short stories or novels. Have a look at my newly updated writing opportunities page and pick something that suits you.
